What an amazing start to the week – with your help we’ve smashed through our target of raising £4million for UK charities by the end of October. Thank you team, shoppers, charities and retailers.
An incredible £17billion is expected to be spent online this Christmas and on average, each of us will spend £280 online between now and Christmas buying everything from gifts to tinsel, even our turkey. Our team has done a great job creating Christmas Guides of the most amazing gifts, so whether you’re looking for presents for your family, friends or colleagues – we have it all wrapped up!
In order to ensure your Christmas spend helps charity we have been very busy recruiting retailers. I’m delighted to say that our retailer count is now over 2,990 so no matter what you’re looking to buy, we will have a retailer that can help. Some of our latest recruits include Lakeland, Jack Wills, Avis, Deramores, Jet2.com and Countrywide.
Our technology team is about to release a new version of our browser extension for Internet Explorer and there are also some very exciting mobile developments that will soon be released. Our aim is simple – we want you to be able to Give as you Live regardless of the device you are shopping on.
One final thing – we’re delighted with our supporters’ response to our call for votes in the SMARTA awards – apparently we are doing well, but it’s not won yet, so if you have not voted yet please do so now.
